Introducing Chase Edward Heid!!!

Summer went into labor late on the night ofthe 26th. We got to the Hospital at one in the morning on the 27th and she was having steady contractions but was only at a 3. The nurse had us walk and climb stairs and bounce on the birthing ball for two hours before checking again to see whether they were going to admit us.( I use us loosely because I didn't work out as hard as Summer did.) She checked again at 3:30 AM and Summer was still a 3 but the nurse kind of massaged the cervix and got her to a 4 and the head nurse came and confirmed and we were admitted. Progress was slow the rest of the morning until the dctor came in and broke her water and gave her some Pitocin (Sp?). Baby Chase came at 2:30 in the afternoon and both Mom and Baby are healthy. Thank you Tom and Rosie and Russ and Karen for taking Madi.

Pregnancy Update 36 weeks

I had an appointment today and found out I am already 2 cm dialated and about 50% effaced. My induction date is scheduled for March 9th so we will see if this baby waits that long before he comes. It was pretty exciting to know all of this pain and contractions are making some progress.

Valentine's Day

This was Madi before church on Sunday. What a pretty Valentine!

We had a low key Valentine's Day here last weekend. Trevor and I had a date the weekend before so we counted that as our VDay. We went to Cheesecake Factory and saw the movie He's Just Not That Into You. I really liked it. So on Saturday we just hung out and had some Wendy's. He surprised me with flowers, chocolates, and a necklace. Madi got a little necklace too. What a great daddy!

Just Playing Around

My little sweetie is so cute. She can't wait to meet her little brother. Madi loves to watch herself on video on the blog so I thought I better upload some new videos. She is hilarious. Loves to sing.

Lake Cushman Weekend Trip

We headed up to Lake Cushman, Washington this weekend for a relaxing trip to the Martineau's cabin. Trevor used to come to the cabin as a kid with his neighbors so it was like reliving childhood memories. He has wanted to take me here for a few years now. We finally got it arranged. We took our good friends the Kunz's along and had a great time. There was no TV so we played a lot of games and drank a lot of hot cocoa. We want to come back this summer with the kids.

33 Weeks and a sneak peak at the nursery

Here I am at 33 weeks pregnant. I am getting bigger every day.

Even my maternity clothes are getting tight. I am so happy that February is a short month. I know pregnancy is measured in weeks. not months but it still makes it seem closer.

This is Chase's little corner in our office. I found the letters last week already painted in all the right colors. I love it. We are getting excited for a boy in the house. Bring on the blue!
