Our Working Weekend
We had a quick but fun weekend in Phoenix working for the Heid family in their baseball tournaments. Actually Trevor worked the whole time, I just worked one day and played the rest. I guess being a Mom does have perks. That's why Trevor isn't in any pictures, we barely saw him. Anyways we played with Madi's cousins and aunts and uncles.
I got to watch my brother Sal play football and my other brother Santi cheer.
He had a little party for Madi's upcoming birthday. It is actually not for a few weeks but since we are never in AZ for her birthday we decided to celebrate early. She got scared and didn't want to blow out the candles so that is why I am blowing them out. Oh and I dyed my hair dark brown. I like it, I needed a change.
Now Trevor is back in AZ for another working weekend while we are home in Portland. We will miss our Daddy but he is in his element. He loves working those tournaments.

Singing Star
Madilyn has been singing up a storm lately. It is so cute. I don't know what the patting was about and she also likes to make a circle in the air with her finger while she sings ABCs. I think maybe this helps her to remember it. Who knows?

Fishing with Grandpa.
Grandpa Ted took Madi and Trevor fishing up the Clackamas River at Small Fry Lake. Madi caught like 8 fish and reeled one in on her first cast. We tried a week later with Grandpa Mark and Kiki and we didn't even get a bite. The video is her first fish she ever caught. She did it with her princess pole as Granpda tells us in the video.Monday, September 29, 2008
We Had Some Visitors!
Our first stop was Tillamook, Oregon. My grandpa was stationed there with the Navy from 1943-45. It was in Tillamook he met my grandma and they were married. We went to the air museum and saw one of the old blimp hangars. My grandpa was actually one of the soldiers on the blimps and once crashed in the ocean. We found a picture of my grandpa in the museum. It was very cool to see some of my family's history here in Oregon.
we had to sign a waiver for the TV show so you could see us on TV soon!
Pregnancy Update
My friend Jessica tagged me with a pregnancy tag so I decided to include a little update.
5 Things That Make My Stomach Turn:
1. Bread that smells like it is going bad, all bread smelled yeasty for a while.
2. I think I am past that stage luckily.
5 Things I Absolutely Love:
1. Chocolate icecream and steak, not together of course.
2. Fast food. Especially Taco Bell lately.
3. My couch.
4. When Madi says she can hear the baby cry in my tummy. So cute.
5. The rubber band trick for pants, I think I do need to get some maternity ones ASAP.
Things I Worry About:
1. Trevor having Boards and finals in the middle of being due.
2. Not getting to the hospital on time.
3. C-Section, scary!
4. Being able to work with two kiddos to take care of.
5. Everything! No I think I am more relaxed this time but I do know I got very lucky with Madi's delivery and hope this time is just as easy.
Things I am Excited About:
1. To know the sex of the baby!
2. That baby clean smell, I love it.
3. Being able to sleep on my stomach again.
4. Feeling the baby move.

Adventures in Potty Training
Madi has been potty training for two weeks now and I am so proud of her. She has done surprisingly well considering she isn't even two yet. #1 aka Pee-pee we pretty much have down. She will tell me every time she has to go. We haven't had many accidents, only a few times when we were out and about. But #2 is still a problem. She just waits until nap or bed time when I put a diaper on her and then does her business. How do you get your kid to go in the potty?
By the way princess underwear are a big hit!

A Day in the Life
Here is a day in the life of Madi. I feel like I am always telling her no and she is getting in trouble all day. I decided to try and help the problem by making Madi her very own desk right by mine so she could feel like she had somewhere that was hers. Then she could color and be a good little girl while Mom works. She was really good but really needy. She kept wanting me to pick up her crayons, push her chair in, tell her how pretty her picture was. It was pretty adorable but I don't think I got any more work done than usual.

Seaside and Kites
We went to Seaside, Oregon for the day last Saturday and had some fun on the beach. It was pretty chilly, you can see Madi's sweater. Madi loved the beach and the sand. I guess here in Oregon we have a lot of barkdust on the playground instead of sand. She thought the sand was fun, the first thing she did was throw it up in the air and get it in her eyes. Poor girl. I had to explain to her that sand and eyes dont mix well. She loved running in the water. I am sure she would've gone right in if we let her. Trevor had a great time flying our $1 kites. It was really windy, great weather for kite flying. The kites went right up in the air. It was a very fun day. I would love to spend the weekend there sometime and have more time to explore.
