My Boy is 6 Months Old

My little Chase is 6 months old now and I wonder where the time has gone. He has changed so much in the last few weeks even. Here are some of his latest accomplishments:
  • He is a sitter.
  • He can roll and scoot anywhere he wants to go. No actual crawling yet.
  • He got his first haircut. It doesn't look like he has much hair since its blonde but it was growing a little long over his ears so we buzzed the back.
  • He has been teething like crazy but still no teeth.
  • He loves baby food and rice cereal.
  • He loves his sister. She can always make him laugh.
  • He's pretty much the coolest kid ever! What a stud!
We got his pictures done this last week and I love them.

Nakee baby!

Oxbow Park

We went to Oxbow park yesterday, a 30 minute jaunt from our humble home. We had a lovely campfire dinner with our friends the Fullmers. It was in the perfect location with a little park right by our spot so we could keep an eye on the kids. A visitor showed up and tried to steal some of our dinner. So Madi fed her some bread and then she wouldn't leave. She kept calling it Bambi. It was basically my idea of camping, 3 hours of fun and then go home and shower. Haha!
The boys getting their grill on. We had a yummy campfire dutch oven dinner and smores.
So good! And bananas and apples with chocolate and marshmallow cooked inside.
Teaching moment....her first toasted marshmallow. Don't let his face fool you, he was enjoying this.
Thanks Tom and Rosie for the grub and the fun. We will have to do it again before we leave.
33 days and counting!!

Anderson Family Reunion

One reason we went to Utah was that my Dad's family was getting together in Park City for a mini reunion. I haven't seen some of my Dad's family in 10+ years so it was really fun to reconnect. I forgot how funny/crazy my family is, it was a lot of fun.
The Cousins
Eva and Grandpa Dave
Madi and Cade aka Sparkle
My Uncle Neil, one I hadn't seen in too long. He and
Trev are going to golf next time we are in California.
Grandpa Mark and Chaser, my Uncle Lane
My Grandma Vea and her kids, minus Kay, Sally, and Randy

Trip to Utah

We took a trip to Utah last week to visit lots of friends and family. We had a blast. Trevor went fishing a few times with the boys. Madi played with all of the cousins/friends there. We had a family reunion. Basically there was not enough time, is there ever? Did I mention we cut Madi's hair into a bob? I love it.

I got to see my BFF Shelley and her family.
Madi found a new boyfriend in her son Ryker. He is handsome.

We stayed at my Dad's house and he took us out four wheeling one day.
Trevor's parents happened to be in Utah that weekend too so we got to stay with them a few days too. Also one night we got to see Danny, Andrea, their new baby Lizzie, David and Delynn, Grandma Bonnie, Aunt Janice, and go to dinner. We didn't know this family would be there either so it was a nice surprise.

We had so much fun we are going back in about 5 weeks. We can't wait.

Chase is growing up so fast. He is getting chubby alright. He is still my happy boy most of the time. Still sleeps through the night. He still melts my heart, he is such a little sweetie. He can almost sit up by himself, loves toys, loves people. He is a little flirt. He is a drool monster lately. I have to change his clothes at least once a day. He is growing out of his clothes like crazy, he is wearing 9-12 months now. He had his 4 month appt this week and the stats are in.

Trip to Az

We had such a great time in Arizona visiting family and friends. A week wasn't enough time. First we spent a few days with the Heids playing games and swimming. Madi loved playing with her cousins, Casey and Sophie. All of the siblings were there since Ty and Ashley are living with the family right now. It was lots of fun!

My boys. Chase loved the water.
Grandma Tracy bought the girls matching outfits. So cute!

We had a bbq at my sister's house and all of my siblings were there. I can't believe 4 of my little brothers are taller than me. My sister Shana is about to pop with her fourth boy!
My sweet Grandma Wanda just had open heart surgery 3 week ago. She is doing great.
All of the cousins loved playing together.
This trip made us really excited to move back to Arizona in a few months.
We can't wait until school is over!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to our Daddy around here. We are lucky to have him. Madi loves her Daddy so much. She actually calls for him at night. I have her trained well. We can always count on Daddy to play with her and wear her out. He can fix almost anything and has amazing strength.:) He loves to snuggle his kids. He's a softie. Madi can usually convince him to stay up longer, read one more book, have another snack. He is a great example to us of service and someone my kids can look up to. We love you. Have a great day Trevor.

Yesterday we went out to Welches, Oregon to Wildwood trails. We took a little hike, saw some fish, threw rocks in the river. It was pretty chilly and a little rainy, as you can tell by the sweaters, but BEAUTIFUL!Madi was choosing the biggest rocks to throw, she likes a challenge, I guess.?Chase trying to stay warm.

Last Days

Trevor's last day of the quarter was Friday. He still has the clinic over the break but we are off to Arizona for a week! We are so excited to swim and see the fam. Most of my family hasn't met Chase yet so we want to show the little cutie off to everyone. Trevor has two more quarters left, only one more with actual classes. The last quarter is just clinic time.

Also, my last day of work was Friday! I decided to quit my job about a month ago. It has been a really hard decision but one that will be best for our family right now. I am really excited to spend more quality time with my kids. I am so thankful I was able to have that job for two years while Trev was in school. It was such an answer to our prayers and very flexible. It was becoming increasingly hard to get my work done after Chase was born. I felt like a failure at work and a failure as a mom. My kids are my most important priority right now. They really need my attention, especially Madi since Chase was born.

It does feel good to be done. However, the job had its perks. Bye bye home phone, cable, high speed internet etc. It's okay we don't need those anyways. I feel the need to simplify. He is growing up so fast.
She keeps me on my toes. Luckily it wasn't permanent marker.

New Family Pics

Time for some new family pictures, since we have a new member and all. I was so excited because our fave photographer Heather was coming to Portland for a visit. It happened to be a rainy day, boo. We still got some good pictures. Now I just have to decide which one I am going to use for the wall. Here are some of my faves.
