November- what did we do in November?

Celebrating our 6 year anniversary late (see October post-very busy) at the Melting Pot. We went there once before and chose weird things. This time we chose better and it was delicious.
Oh yeah and what do you do when you feel like life is getting easy and you're finally getting the hang of this two kids thing? Have another one of course.

Yep found out I'm pregnant with # 3. We are really excited. Due August 1st.

My attempt at a catch up blog..October

Halloween
I decided to learn to sew and make our costumes this year. We went as the Flintstones.
I had to show Madi who Pebbles was but then she was all for it. Bam Bam was adorable.

These pictures were taken by Madi.
Pumpkin Patch
I do have to say Oregon pumpkin patches are way better than those in AZ but we found one close by and had some fun with friends. The kids loved it.
Sporting his long hair. I loved it.

Then October is the month of the Tournaments. I didn't see Trevor much since he had just opened the practice and worked every weekend at the fields. It's our family tradition.
The kids think the golf cart is the best ride ever.

Sea World

We went to Sea World for a weekend getaway back in August. Yes I just uploaded these from my camera, I just found my computer cord, and I still dont know how to do certain things on the mac. I'm still learning. Anyways, the kids loved it. They were good the whole day and loved staying at Aunt Delyn and Uncle Davids house, and loved their dog Sparky. There was a buy one day get one free so I hope we get to go back before the year ends.
This was the end of the day so we are all a little tired and sunburned. We were in the splash zone and got a little bit wet!
He loved to eat the sand. I have to say I am not a beach girl, it's so messy. Unless its Hawaii.
I'm sure we'll have more of these short and sweet vacations to California. I love being so close.

Yep we are still here.

Ok I know it's been way too long since I posted. We are still here and still doing great. I have been working the last 6 months and what do you know its been about 6 months since my last post. But not anymore. I quit last week and feel great about it. The main reason I quit is Trevor opened up his very own office!! We are pumped. It's been open for 3 weeks now and has had success already. He saw more patients this week than ever before. The best part is he actually loves what he does for a living. He will be working 6 days a week so I am now the stay at home mom. And I am pumped!
The kids are growing and loving swimming and having fun in the AZ sun! Madi learned to swim with out floaties and Chase loves his floaties!! We had a fun summer. I'm glad its starting to cool off though. Now my kids will actually be able to play in the back yard. Chase is talking more and more every day and loves sports. Madi is beginning to read, she's working on her phonics, and loves to write in her notebook. I am a lucky Mommy to have these two kiddos.

Can you believe he's 1?

My baby turned one on February 27th. Chase came three weeks early and surprised us all. Trevor and I went to the hospital about midnight and thought for sure I would be sent home. I was sent home twice with Madi. After two hours of walking and laughing up and down the halls (I must have a high pain tolerance because we were really laughing and breathing hard when the contraction would hit) of the hospital they admitted me and the next afternoon we had Chase. He was a skinny thing 7lbs 3 ozs but oh so cute!! He has a gentle temperament and was just so easy as a baby. A great eater and sleeper. He loves his sister. The best sound in the world is to hear my two kids laughing together. We are so happy he is part of our family.

Here are some of his latest accomplishments:
  • Weighs 23.5 lbs and is 31" tall
  • Says mama, dada, bye bye
  • Blows kisses
  • Throws balls super straight with either hand, Trevor's pushing him to be a lefty:))
  • Has 10 teeth, 2 more molars are breaking through
  • Can walk up to 4 steps but still prefers crawling
  • Wears 18-24mos clothing
  • Is drinking cows milk now, he loves it
  • Is getting to be a picky eater

Valentine's Day 2009 a few weeks before he came.

Boy are we about to get really busy

I just want to say how proud I am of Trevor for being a licensed Chiropractor!! He got his license we a few weeks ago and is now a working man. He is working with another doctor in Surprise at Van Metre Chiropractic. It has been a lot of hard work to get to this point in our lives and I'm so glad it is here. So if anyone needs a chiropractor let us know:)

Also I was just offered a job this past week for an insurance company. Its only 20 hours a week and the benefits are amazing. I feel like such an adult to be excited about the benefits, ha ha. I would rather stay home with my babies but I feel like this job kind of fell into place and its meant to be right now. Also they have tuition reimbursement and I'm actually thinking of going back to school.

Mix in Trev coaching baseball at the high school, a weekly softball game, and church stuff and it gets pretty busy around here, and only getting busier. It was nice having Trevor home the past few months but now its back to reality.

Pictures of the new place

So my house was clean for about one minute so I had to take some pictures.
Here are the new digs.
The family room
Master bedroom.
We have a bonus/sitting room that we are still trying to figure out what to do with.
Master bath. I love the double sinks.

Dining room and living room. No LR furniture yet but Madi loves the open space.
Kitchen
We love it!

Our New House

We're so excited to be homeowners again! We bought this lovely foreclosure last week and have been cleaning and unpacking like crazy. It was a long and sometimes frustrating process but totally worth it. I feel like I really got everything I was looking for and didn't think I would find. I dreamed of a garage the last 3 years while I lugged groceries up two flights of stairs in the rain. Also we actually have a disposal and fans in the bathrooms. Always a plus. I still can't believe our last place didn't have those. Some other features I am loving right now: double sinks in the master, garden tub, walk-in closets in both of the kids' rooms, granite countertops, brand new appliances!! I am excited to raise our kids here and grow our family. There is a cute little park right across the street and we've already met some new friends.

I'll post more pictures when it's all decorated cute.

The Happiest Place on Earth!

We just spent 3 magical days at Disneyland and it was so much fun! I think 3 is the magical age for Disney because they still think the characters are real. It's so much fun to watch it through a child's eyes. Madi was so good and loved the rides. She even went on the Matterhorn but she said that was a little scary. Chase loved the characters, he would squeal when we got to meet them. Also there were no lines. We would just walk right on the rides sometimes. It was awesome. We ate at Ariel's Grotto, a restaurant in California Adventure where you get to meet the princesses. That was amazing, the food and the experience. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Heid for the fun and the memories. It was a trip we will never forget.

Of course Madilyn fell and got a major bruise on her cheek a few days before we left. It keeps changing colors, makes for good pictures:))

Chase taking a break from the stroller.
We made the grandparents go on the spinny rides since Trevor and I get sick.
Classic family pic
This was the best parade!!

Santa Pics and Gingerbread House Contest!

Madi was such a good girl and told Santa what she wanted for Christmas. I was surprised she didn't cry. Her wish list this year is a Barbie toothbrush and a big dolly. Chase just wants boy toys since all of ours are pink. he he. It has been fun (trying to) teach Madi about the real meaning of Christmas this year. We went to the temple lights and saw the nativity and the big statue of Jesus Christ. She was so amazed by the whole thing. Then, we did a sticker nativity project where we put the stickers of the characters on a piece of paper (really simple, I know) and I explained each one. She is still a little bit confused whether Jesus is a baby or an adult. And I asked her who Jesus' dad was and she said Santa. So funny. She is only barely 3.

Also we had the Annual Heid Gingerbread House Contest a little early this year since Ty and Ash were going to Utah for Christmas.

Tyler and Ashley's is on the left and Tiffini and Derrick's is on the right.
Those are the penguins of the Madagascar movie.
Ours is the red car and Tiana and Tracy's is on the right.

So a little back story to our house, Tracy, Trevors mom, recently bought a brand new Kia Soul. It is one of those boxy cars and its bright red. She is known as Santa around here since she loves to go overboard on Christmas gifts. So we've been calling it the Sleigh. So that's why we made a red Kia Soul Santa's Sleigh gingerbread house.

We each got a vote but couldn't vote for our own and then read them Survivor style. This family is so fun to be a part of!!
Guess who won? Santa's Sleigh Baby ~!!!!

Our trip to Hot-lanta

Before Thanksgiving we went to Georgia for our friend Matt Spring's wedding.  Matt and Trevor have been friends forever (they are more like brothers) and played high school and college baseball together, even though they are three years apart.  They were roommates in college for one year and then both signed to play professional baseball, Matt with the Tampa Bay Rays.  He is still playing AA, which is where he met Meredith a few years ago.  Trevor was a groomsmen in the wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding and reception.  We will miss Matt, especially around Christmas time and the gingerbread contest.

The happy couple and Trevor in a wrestling match with Chase.
He is getting so hard to dress or change his diaper.

My little stud!!
I was so excited to see Trev in a tux, the first time since our wedding.  Both of my studs.
After the rehearsal dinner, the boys had a home run derby.
It was fun since half of the guys were current or former pro players.
You were only allowed to use metal if you had never played past college.
Trevor was in heaven.

At the Coca Cola facility.  You could try all 64 flavors of pop.  We were sick to our stomachs after trying almost all of them.  If you ever go do not try the Beverly!
