Day at the Lake

I love the lake!! Last weekend we went to Merwin Lake with the Church's. We had lots of fun waterskiing and tubing on the boat. Madi even did some tubing. It was great to see Craig, Meredith, Ashley, and baby Brady who were visiting. I didn't get many pictures since my camera died mid-day. I'll add more if I can get some from Karen.

Getting into trouble

Caught red handed. Here's our little monster getting into the kitchen cabinets. Yep, we still need to baby proof some more.

Update

I think I'm a little blog happy today. By the way, Madilyn has been taking 2 two hour naps a day. As a Mom who's baby took very short naps, this is amazing to me. I guess she is starting to become more of a toddler than a baby. The naps help a lot with the work situation. Also, my neighbor and I trade babysitting one day a week so I at least have that time to get the really important things done.

Getting food all over the place. I always find it in the back of her hair. Gross!

Bath Time Fun

Madi loves her bath time. She practically swims around in the water. I think she's going to be a fish. Shana- doesn't she look like Kylan in the first pic?

Little Lady

Oh how she's changed. I think the first picture was when she was about 3-4 months old. Now her cheeks aren't quite as chubby and the belly isn't quite as round for sure. She is growing up to be such a little lady. I can put barrettes in her hair now and it's almost long enough for a pony tail. What a cutie pie!

Madi's room and the office.

More pics. We are still unpacking, decorating will come later.

Our New Lovely Apartment

We love our new place! It just feels so roomy and bright. I love the master bedroom; it's huge and has a walk in closet. The view is great too. I think we're going to like it here for the next couple of years. Thanks to all who helped with the move. It went so smoothly especially since we moved up the date by a week.

Who's kid is this?

Madilyn is in that squirmy stage where she doesn't want to sit still when I am changing her diaper. She really fights me lately and gets really mad. Lets just say this day I just gave up. She was perfectly happy roaming free.

Shox for all

We got to go to the Nike Employee Store this past week and got the whole family some sweet kicks. We went with friends (thanks Kunzers!) and it was like airport security to get in. We had to show ID and be on the list and for a minute I thought we might be turned away. Luckily, we got in and got to see all of Nike's new merchandise at lower prices. Half price Shox, how could I pass that up?

Working Girl

I have been praying for a while now to find a job would work with our situation. I just really wanted to help out with the finances while Trevor is still in school so we will accrue less debt and so we aren't so tight in our budget. The perfect job sort of fell in my lap last week and within 24 hours I was hired and had a computer, fax, cell phone, etc at my home. The best part is I work from home part time and it's really flexible ( and the pay's not bad either). What more could I ask for? I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for giving me this opportunity. Sometimes I know that I just have to be patient and things will happen in due time. This was actually a great time because we just moved into a 3 bedroom apartment so I will have room for my office. Yea! Pictures will be posted as soon as the place looks semi good. We are still unpacking.

P.S. Does anyone have any advice for working with an active baby that takes very short naps? :)

My Amazing Daughter

Madi has just been such a joy lately.
It seems like everyday she learns something new to amaze us.
She claps!
She can pull herself up onto things. She loves going from the ottoman to the couch.
I caught her snuggling up to her bear pillow during a nap. She is such a snuggly baby! I love it.

Good to be Home

Well vacation is over and we are back home. It's still a little weird to call Oregon home but I'm starting to love it. Madi and I are getting back into a routine and hanging out with friends. The best news is that my baby is finally taking a bottle. Yeah! Madi refused to eat formula for months but finally we found the bottle and formula she likes and I am slowly trying to wean her. I already feel like I have more energy. Trevor is back in school and has a new hobby of bocce ball. He's been obsessed ever since I bought him a set for Father's Day. He and his friends play in between classes at school, he calls it his recess. Also, we bought a second car. It is a green 95 Ford Taurus. (I'll post a pic later.) It has a lot of miles but runs well and is really nice and roomy inside. The best part is it has 3 seats in front so I can snuggle up to Trev when we are driving. New cars don't have that fun feature. Also it gives me something I have been wanting...some freedom! I can run errands or take Madi to the park.Trevor let Madilyn go wild. The hair reminded me of Trev's baby pics.

We had so much fun at the Heid's. Trevor golfed 3 times in 2 days with his dad. Tracy, Tiff, and I had a wonderful day of pedicures, lunch, and shopping. We spent many days and nights in the pool. We love the new slide. Thanks for having us, Ted and Tracy.

The 4 H Club

We were lucky to be able to get together with some friends from our old ward while we were in AZ. We had a bbq at the Heid house and had a great time with the Hassells, Hooleys, and Holdaways. The boys had a competition to see who could climb up the slide. After a lot of scratched up tummys and hands, Brandon was the only one to succeed. We miss you guys!

Almost Crawling

We thought for sure Madilyn would crawl while we were on our trip but since she was held 90% of the time by family members she didn't really get much floor time. She is almost there. We can see the wheels turning. I love her in blue. It really brings out her eyes.

Our Summer Vacation

While Trevor was taking his finals, I decided to extend my vacation and go to Phoenix early. So Madi and I spent some time with my family while Trevor was working hard back home. We had a great time hanging out with my family. My mom is one busy lady. We went swimming a lot and went to a few of Sal and Santiago's baseball games. Seth and Sierra just loved having their little niece around. They wanted to do everything with her like feeding her, bathing her, dressing her, and even diaper changes. Seth got baptized while we were there and it was such a sweet day. My brother Shane baptized him and Pablo confirmed him. He looked so cute all in white. We're proud of you buddy. Madi loved scooting herself under my moms couch. She would get stuck and then start crying so we'd pull her out. A few minutes later she would be right back under the couch.

Daddy's Girl

Madilyn loves to snuggle with her Daddy.
Trevor watched Madi last week while I went to the temple with some friends. Some of his friends from school were going to see Pirates so he decided to take Madi with. I don't think he got his moneys worth but she did pretty well. His friends were impressed he would attempt this by himself as am I (the movie was 3 hours long). That's my hubby! What a great daddy!
