Madi and Daddy's day of fun !!!!!!
I have been very busy with finals and OSCE's lately so I have not been home very early after school. When I leave in the mornings, Madi always say, "No School, Daddy, No school." Or "Daddy go to school either," which by interpretation means, you don't have to go either. I promised her that Sat. morning I would take her to the zoo if she was a good girl. I took her today and had a great time. She loved the animals and I was surprised how much fun I had. She is becoming a little person who I can have a conversation with. It was freezing so we took a break and had hot chocolate and popcorn and then we went to see more animals. She really liked the sea lions, elephants, birdies, and of course the owl (no flash photography with the owl). Hopefully she had as much fun as I did.

Baby Mama Complaints
I can't wait to be done with this pregnancy.
I'm trying to be positive so I will look ahead to the future.
I can't wait until I can breathe again or walk up the stairs without feeling like I ran a marathon.
I can't wait until I can tie my shoes without it being painful. I should just stick to slippers from here on out.
I can't wait until I can roll over in bed easily or sleep on my stomach...or sleep all night. Oh yeah I forgot I'll have a newborn, scratch that one.
I cant wait until I can eat without getting acid reflux, never had it before this little guy moved in.
I can't wait for this basketball of a belly to be deflated.
I can't wait to see Madi's reaction when the baby we've been talking about is actually here. I don't know what is going to happen to her baby girl she has in her tummy though.
I can't wait for see my little boy's face for the first time.
Can time just go by a little faster? I am getting impatient.

Finally an update...
We'll start from the beginning. This is what we left Portland with, a ton of snow. Actually we made it out right before the big storm hit. We were looking forward to some sunshine for sure.

Our parking lot. Snow is a big deal here in Portland.
Finally after some delays at the airport we arrived in sunny Arizona and had some time with Grandma and Grandpa Heid. We had some fun playing games at Chuck E Cheese's. The next morning was Madi's first Christmas you could say. She got lots of fun gifts and tons of clothes. The rain coat was the perfect gift!! It will get lots of use.
She loved opening presents!
Then we visited the Pedraza family where my sister's family is living with them right now also. Lots of family and fun.

My brothers and sisters. It was the first time in 4 years we have all been at the same place.
Madi stayed with my Mom while we were off to Maui!! She did great, I don't even think she missed me.

Maui Highlights
We had such a wonderful time on our trip. We stayed very close to where we stayed when we were in Maui on our honeymoon 4 years ago. It was fun remembering all of the sights.
My favorite was the lava flow. Yummy!
The boys got to golf on Makena due to some sweet hookup my father in law had.

We hiked to a blowhole that shot water 70-80 feet high. Very cool! I should correct myself, Trevor hiked to the blowhole, I took it easy.Wednesday, December 03, 2008
Getting Ready for Christmas
We decorated our tree last Sunday after our lovely Thanksgiving weekend at home. Madi was very excited to see each ornament. We have a baby sized tree that we have had since our first Christmas together. Since we are never at home for Christmas anyways it works out very nicely. Maybe in two years we will grow into a bigger tree.

She has been carrying around this Christmas basket and putting things in it. Ashley-I think this was from you a few years back.

We have already been telling her she better be a good girl if she wants a toy from Santa.

I love Madi's little unique sayings. You know how kids say a phrase or word wrong but it is so darn cute. I am going to miss it when she doesn't say them wrong anymore.
Some of her classics:
"I get you me" means I want you to come and get me.
"trap pack" means snack trap
Mickey Mouse "craphouse" for clubhouse
" a sun-beep" instead of sunbeam

Madi is 2!!
Madi had a fun birthday. She really understood what was going on this year. Her favorite things were cake and presents. We had a small family party at Russ and Karen's this year. We had steak and mac'n'cheese for Madi, her favorite. She got a Barbie bike from us, which she is still learning how to ride, and lots of fun presents from family and friends. I can't believe she is already two years old. That went by quick yet I feel like she has been in our family forever. She is such a cutie. She learns new things every day and is constantly surprising us. She loves to sing and dance, maybe she will be blessed with musical talents. She loves talking to people and loves her friends. What a sweetie we have!

Halloween time!
We had the best Halloween this year. We went to the WSCC party first and had a great time. They had a bouncy house and face painting plus lots of goodies.
They painted Madi's face really cute.

She won a prize for Most Original Costume for the kids.
Trevor and I went as Juno and Bleeker from the movie Juno. I had to stuff my tummy a little to pull it off. We won best costume for the adults! Sweet! This was actually the only year we have ever dressed up since we have been married. It was a lot of fun, I think we will try to keep it up.
Trevor rocking the side part.
After the party we went to Russ and Karen's house in Vancouver and went trick-or-treating. Toby the dog dressed up as a hot dog.
Tyler was a Star Wars person, Madi loved trick or treating. She was very polite and said thank you as she grabbed the treat out of the persons hand. It was very funny! Russ and Karen's neighborhood was awesome. The neighbors were into the Halloween spirit and gave good candy, we even got full sized candy bars.
Trevor's pride and joy, the pumpkin he carved this year. A spooky haunted house!

Pink or Blue?
Definetly Blue!! We were so excited to find out we were having a little boy today at our ultrasound appointment. At my last ultrasound at 12 weeks I just had a feeling I was looking at my little boy. I even said "He's so cute" the first time I saw him on the screen. The black and white image just looked like a boy to me for some strange reason. I even would find myself saying he or him when talking about the baby. So I was so excited to find out I had been right! I am really happy that we will have a boy and a girl now.

Our Working Weekend
We had a quick but fun weekend in Phoenix working for the Heid family in their baseball tournaments. Actually Trevor worked the whole time, I just worked one day and played the rest. I guess being a Mom does have perks. That's why Trevor isn't in any pictures, we barely saw him. Anyways we played with Madi's cousins and aunts and uncles.
I got to watch my brother Sal play football and my other brother Santi cheer.
He had a little party for Madi's upcoming birthday. It is actually not for a few weeks but since we are never in AZ for her birthday we decided to celebrate early. She got scared and didn't want to blow out the candles so that is why I am blowing them out. Oh and I dyed my hair dark brown. I like it, I needed a change.
Now Trevor is back in AZ for another working weekend while we are home in Portland. We will miss our Daddy but he is in his element. He loves working those tournaments.

Singing Star
Madilyn has been singing up a storm lately. It is so cute. I don't know what the patting was about and she also likes to make a circle in the air with her finger while she sings ABCs. I think maybe this helps her to remember it. Who knows?

Fishing with Grandpa.
Grandpa Ted took Madi and Trevor fishing up the Clackamas River at Small Fry Lake. Madi caught like 8 fish and reeled one in on her first cast. We tried a week later with Grandpa Mark and Kiki and we didn't even get a bite. The video is her first fish she ever caught. She did it with her princess pole as Granpda tells us in the video.Monday, September 29, 2008
We Had Some Visitors!
Our first stop was Tillamook, Oregon. My grandpa was stationed there with the Navy from 1943-45. It was in Tillamook he met my grandma and they were married. We went to the air museum and saw one of the old blimp hangars. My grandpa was actually one of the soldiers on the blimps and once crashed in the ocean. We found a picture of my grandpa in the museum. It was very cool to see some of my family's history here in Oregon.
we had to sign a waiver for the TV show so you could see us on TV soon!
